The Maer Hills Protection Group was established in 1992, when the beautiful Staffordshire area known as Maer Hills was threatened with development. In May 1994 the Secretary of State for the Environment rejected this development.

Since then we have continued to be active and vigilant, keeping up to date on national planning policies and consulting on strategic and local plans.

Maer Hills is threatened once more and your help is needed to defend this highly valued amenity, landscape and wildlife habitat.
